Perception Over Reality: The 360 Assessment as a Measure of Leadership

“Perception is reality” is one of the truest mantras a leader can live by. Regardless of our  intentions, it’s how our behaviors are received by the people we lead that determine our success as a leader.

It is important and courageous for a leader to not only hear but seek out the perceptions of others and recognize where there may be gaps in leadership.  As leaders, we hope that we’ve created space to get this feedback from our team, but we also need to ensure that we do.
