I'm speaking to all of my Visionaries today as I reflect on the guidance, the challenge to live my Optimal Life, and the sincere message of love provided by the one and only Gino Wickman - the "Godfather" of EOS®- at the EOS Conference last week.

Here are a few fundamentals that apply to everyone- even if you’ve never touched a book in the Traction library. These takeaways really hit me, enjoy!

+ When you get your Leadership Team right (100% of the right people in the right seats) everything else falls into place. Let me say it again for the people in the back… your leadership team is making or breaking your success!

+ Your employees want to know what’s going on in the business. Let them in, pull back the curtain, inform and update often. When was your last State of the Company meeting? Did it engage, excite and enable your people?!

+ Let’s rebrand “difficult conversations” to “necessary conversations”. Is a metric off-track? Bring it up! Missed expectations? Discuss directly! It isn’t “conflict”, it’s a conversation for the greater good of the company.

+ If you don’t LOVE your weekly leadership team meeting, you’re doing it wrong. There are many layers to peel back here, but at the heart of it, I want you to LOVE the people you work with. I want time together to be ENERGIZING rather than exhausting.

+ You can build a business on love and still get incredible results , say what needs to be said , and make tough decisions.
